Home of the Panthers, Jaguars and Wildcats! Hilliard is located in Franklin County, Ohio, part of the Norwich Township and a suburb of the metropolitan city of Columbus. In 2012, Hilliard was recognized as Ohio Magazine’s “Best Hometown” based on community spirit, culture, business environment, schools, entertainment and health and safety.
• First Responders Park Memorial: This memorial park is located on the corner of Main and Center Street in “Old Hilliard’. It was created to represent a typical American City and show “We Will Never Forget” the 9/11 tragedy.
• Homestead Park: Located on Cosgray Road in Hilliard, with 44-acres and ¾ mile paved trail. Homestead also offers a covered bridge, playground equipment, volleyball and basketball courts, tether ball, horseshoe pit, and three pavilions that can be rented for small and large groups.
• Hilliard Municipal Pools: The Hilliard Family Aquatic Center has two 30 ft water slides, a 450-gallon dumping bucket, lazy river with water attractions and many more additions new in 2008. In addition to the HFAC is the East pool which is located on Schirtzinger Road and houses a 10-ft water slide and a separate wading pool.
“Excellent with Distinction” School District
Hilliard City schools consists of three high schools, three middle school, two sixth grade schools and 14 elementary schools. Hilliard is the 8th largest district in Ohio receiving “Excellent with Distinction” by the Ohio Department of Education in the 2009 and 2011 school years. Hilliard’s motto for their schools is “Ready for Tomorrow” as they prepare students for the future.
